Catch up time

The last several weeks have been super busy. I meant to post before Christmas or shortly thereafter but never got around to it. I just started my last semester of my undergraduate degree and am so crazy busy doing homework for that and getting ready for Gen to come. I just started another quilt for her bedroom that is a Princess and the Pea themed quilt. Go here to check out what it will look like when finished. http://www.modabakeshop.com/2009/05/princess-pea-blanket.html. When I saw it I immediately knew I wanted to make one for Gen's crib. I finished the butterfly quilt that I was making and it turned out pretty cute although I had some problems along the way. Here is a picture of the finished project. Sorry it's not the best picture.
I also bought a dresser for her room a few weeks ago. I bought it at an antiques store. I originally was trying to find a dresser for really cheap and then refinishing it but found this which has been repainted already. The camera doesn't do it justice. It looks better in person and I don't have it completely set up because we need to move some furniture out of the baby's room before I can put it where I want it. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. It has a mirror and will be perfect for when she gets older.
I guess I never mentioned in my last posts that her due date has been changed. From both of her ultrasounds it shows that she is nine days younger than what the doctor determined her due date was. She is now due on March 31 which actually happens to be our puppy Dahlia's birthday. I have left the pregnancy ticker the same on my blog because I highly doubt that Gen will actually show on the 31st since every baby decides when they are going to come. Here is a picture of me pregnant. I took it before Christmas. I don't remember exactly how far a long I was at the time, but it's the first that shows me with a belly.
I will have to take some more updated pictures of my belly sometime this week, but I know many of you wanted to see my belly. I went to the doctor yesterday and I'm measuring right on schedule. I've gained a little less than fifteen pounds so far and am happy with that. It seemed like I was just gaining then losing weight constantly there for a while, but now it seems like I'm just gaining weight! Yay! I find it funny that this is probably the only time in my life(other than having more kids) that I will get really excited to find out that I've gained weight when going to the doctor. I called up Eric at work to tell him because I was so excited! The second to last time I had gone to the doctor I went in and was told I had lost six pounds(I think that it was because I had been really sick) so I've been really concerned about my weight gain even though my doctor has said that everything is fine. Now I'll probably start to worry about gaining too much weight. Oh well, the woes of being a woman.
Some of the fun things that we've gotten to do over the last month are:
1. Went to Vegas to celebrate our one year anniversary (realized that I hate Vegas because it was so dirty and my lungs felt like they had never smelled fresh air in their lives). We did get to see some pretty cool shows and exhibits though so it was fun. We also went to the Las Vegas Temple and went through a session. That was a really nice break away from the craziness that is Vegas. We got to see the fireworks on New Year's Eve which wasn't as exciting as both Eric and I had thought it would be.

2) Santa came and brought me a Kindle (Love you Eric)

3)Celebrated my 22nd birthday. Is it just me or do all birthdays after 21 seem anticlimactic? But yum lobster and shrimp fettuccine alfredo!
4)Went to Eric's mission reunion and got to see some of his friends and his old mission president who's from Brazil.
Sorry this was such a large post. I will try to be better at posting from now on. Hope you all are doing well!
