I bet my puppy is worse than yours...

This is why it is always a surprise to come home. Today I took extra precautions and got everything out of paw and snout reach (including anything on the kitchen counter tops) that I thought she would be even mildly interested in tearing to shreds. Oh how I was wrong. I came home to this mess.

I had accidentally left a bag of craft stuff that I hadn't put away from one of my personal progress activities out and she shredded it and the contents without a spare thought. She has gotten so naughty lately. The only thing that she has going for her is that she is cute and she knows a few commands and tricks. I never recommend that you ever get a lab or lab mix which is what Dahlia is. She is just like Marley from Marley and Me only a little better. They are supposed to be wonderful dogs when they get out of the puppy stage but the process in getting there is a rough road. Just the other day Eric had gotten home from bringing home an old tent trailer of his parents' that we are planning on restoring for future camping adventures and I went to make him lunch. Eric was helping out and all of a sudden he asked if we had bread, and I said yes and I looked around on the counters to find it. My eyes then strayed to the torn up bread bags on the kitchen floor that I hadn't noticed earlier. She had torn open both of the bags and eaten all of the bread that was inside. Luckily both of the bags didn't have even half a loaf in them, but one of the bags I had kept to see if we could try and feed any ducks who hadn't migrated for the winter. So she probably had half a loaf of bread combined for lunch that day. *Throws hands up in the air and wonders what to do*

We just got her a harness so that I can take her for walks without having to run after her because she is so strong. She might be small but she is one strong seven month old. She loves the new snow and enjoyed running and tumbling through it the first day it landed. I was kind of sad the first couple of times it snowed because I had thought she would really enjoy it but she didn't seem too interested in it at the time. I think she just needed several inches of snow to realize that she loved it. It's really cute to see her playing in the snow the only thing I hate is that she comes in all wet and loves to jump up on you. *Still trying to get her to stop that but she refuses to let the instructions that we were given on how to train her to stop it hinder her in the least*

She's still my little baby though :)

  1. Hahaha, See my post in November 16th. Lol, It's entitled, "we love her, we love her not." I have all pictures to prove that our puppy is WAY worse than yours. :D Hahah, that is sooooo funny, we must be so much alike, posting the same thing the same month about our puppies who are nearly the same age and breed....weird.
